Safe schools providing quality education are the norm in Wayne County, where the K-12 student population is predominately served by three school districts – Wallenpaupack Area, Wayne Highlands, and Western Wayne.  Additionally, several other school districts educate students in the peripheral areas.  During the 2009-2010 school year, a total of 780 students graduated from the three districts and the graduation rates were Wallenpaupack (91%), Wayne Highlands (92%) and Western Wayne (85%).  Students enjoy a full-range of extracurricular activities designed to increase life-long learning skills. Career and technology training, job shadowing and apprentice programs familiarize students with the work environment and develop critical skills for future employment.

District and School Report Cards and Academic Achievement may be viewed at the PA AYP website.  For comprehensive information and statistics about Pennyslvania schools, visit the PA Dept. of Education.
